Tom Cruise Beats His Own Records With Top Gun: Maverick

Top Gun: Maverick was released in the latter half of May this year. Since its release, the movie has been butchering other movies at the box office. Top Gun has also managed to be Tom Cruise\’s highest grossing movie as of yet.

With only weeks been since the release, Top Gun: Maverick is considered as one of the best movies of the year. In the opening week it collected more than $100 million. This has happened for the first time to Tom Cruise. None of his movies have collected this much in the first week. The movie has collected more than $900 million up till now, globally. Its also one of the first non-superhero movies to collect such earnings at the box office in the opening week. Spiderman No Way Home was the first movie this year to do so. It is also one of Tom Cruise’s highest grossing movies. It is also Paramount Pictures second highest grossing film behind Titanic. 

The movie is even said to get clear of Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible: Fallout. The last Mission Impossible film had a box office collection of almost $790 million which is almost $100 million below Top Gun: Maverick. Even with Fallout’s star cast, its way down at the box office from the new Top Gun movie. But be ware that a new Mission Impossible movie is on its way to be released. As of yet, Top Gun is Tom’s most successful movie. 

According to several reports, Top Gun is expected to make more than $1 billion worldwide. It would be Tom’s first movie to reach the billion dollar mark.

The movie scores a staggering 99% audience score in Rotten Tomatoes. It also secures 97% on the Tomatometer.
